About The Position

The Sanitation Heavy Equipment Operator drives and operates trucks on assigned routes and schedules to collect and transport solid waste, recyclable materials, and yard debris to collection sites. The position may operate a grapple loader to load yard debris, inspects and maintains assigned vehicles, and performs other work as required. The operator performs general manual labor and equipment maintenance work according to set procedures under close supervision and coordinates the work of subordinate workers assigned to the truck. The role also involves performing groundwork while driving and assisting other drivers as a groundman.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Valid South Carolina Class 'B' Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Benefits

• $20.78/hour pay rate.
• 40 hours/week work schedule.
• Hiring Bonus: $2,000.00 after six-month performance evaluation with meets expectations.
