About The Position

Summary: Engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs in a production processing establishment by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Takes part in the cleaning of equipment and work areas. Demonstrates ability to properly clean machinery, floors, and other necessary spots in a safe and efficient manner that adheres to company training and safety procedures. Takes part in essential job duties assigned. Physical Capabilities: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs regularly. Meet deadlines, goals, and expectations. Utilizes chemical and cleaning supplies to sanitize work areas and manufacturing equipment on a nightly basis. Involves utilizing chemicals in the correct ratios and dilutions. Demonstrates ability to properly clean machinery, floors, and other necessary spots in a safe and efficient manner that adheres to company training and safety procedures. Requires utilizing hoses, squeegees, floor scrubbers and other tools to successfully clean equipment. Job may require getting underneath machinery in order to clean the equipment entirely. Learns company Sanitation Practices and procedures Requirements: General Laborer Training and Lockout/Tagout Training and Learning of AAPP’s Sanitation Processes and Sanitation Tech 1 training book.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
