About The Position

Job Summary: Drive delivery truck to various job sites to deliver, place and set-up portable restrooms, restroom trailers and occasionally holding tanks. Represent our company in a friendly and professional manner. Make recommendations to our customers regarding placement for ease to service. Report/communicate problems, potential problems, inaccessibility to job sites etc. to your supervisor and/or dispatch in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Experience: Not required however prior experience in the industry or as a route driver is preferred.
  • Education and/or Training: On the job training is provided.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with smart phone and hand tools helpful.
  • Skills/Abilities: Ability to understand, read and write English. All work orders verbal and written are in English. Ability to operate forklift. Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with others. Ability to operate hand tools.
  • Special requirements: Class A Drivers license and current medical card and Forklift Certificate (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and pick-up portable restrooms in a timely manner and in accordance with instructions from dispatch, Andy Gump Delivery and Pick-Up procedures and your supervisor.
  • Perform job duties in a safe manner, making effective use of equipment to avoid injury or accidents.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and maintain vehicle in good, clean operating condition.
  • Submit records in an accurate and timely manner i.e., route sheets, job cards any and all paperwork including entering info on smart phone.
  • Project professional and friendly image to customers.
  • Complete Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Report daily and report any problems to supervisor.
  • Maintain valid Class A California Drivers License and Medical Card.
  • Complete/maintain log book when applicable.
  • Follow check in procedures including checking in after each stop or as instructed.
  • Report any accident or damages to supervisor immediately.
  • Communicate with customers as needed to maintain good working relationship. Notify dispatch or supervisor of any problems or questions. Make recommendations to customer or dispatch that will assist the customer or the company in providing the highest quality service possible.
  • In an emergency take over service route as requested.
  • Trouble shoot equipment when needed, report/document out come and provide pictures.
  • Tow restroom and office trailers that may exceed 10,000 lbs. (class A driver license required).
  • All jobs assigned/routed to you should be completed daily. If delivery instructions are not clear, person on site scheduled to meet is not there and/or you are not sure of placement check with dispatch first before leaving the job site or placing equipment. Perform all job duties in a safe manner. Use company provided phone to complete procedures required at each stop.
