Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 6 years related experience OR Associate's degree and 5 years' experience OR Bachelor's degree plus 3 years related experience OR Master's degree.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of production operations management for quality, yield and cost.
  • Annual completion of Food Safety overview training.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years related experience OR Master's degree plus 1 year related experience.
  • 3 years of advancement through progressive managerial positions where HACCP, GMP, SPC, Food Safety and Quality Systems, P&ID, CAD, PLC Controls, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics are common.
  • Experience with Programming of CIP systems, preventive maintenance of pumps, valves, motors, and storing and dispensing of equipment.
  • Knowledge of chemical types and their effect on soil and soil loads must be demonstrated, and ability to advance basic knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with training, teaching, and educating employees on company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and annual Validations/Verifications.
  • Use EMP data trends to optimize and adjust master cleaning/sanitation schedules.
  • Verify consist, proper execution of all CIP's and consistent completion of MSS's.
  • Lead CIP and sanitation efforts for all major cleaning events (clean breaks), new equipment, or equipment modifications.
  • Lead program to maintain all plant CIP systems including routine audits, instrumentation PM program, valve functionality and overall upkeep.
  • Perform routine plant audits and tear-down inspection of equipment and recommend maintenance/repair needs for correction in order to comply with GMP/Food Safety standards.
  • Closeout GMP, Sanitation and Regulatory and Customer audit findings.
  • Monitor and control finished product quality results and environmental microbial influence (Hygiene Zone impact), then implement resolution to out of trend (OOT) factors.
  • Compile routine professional reports consistent with HCC/HI management control and reporting practices.
  • Distribute these reports to Operations, Technical, Quality, and SCM.
  • Interact with other Sanitation Coordinators, Quality and SCM to develop a more streamlined tracking and reporting process for chemicals at the point of use.
  • Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC's food safety, sanitation policies, procedures and compliance to SQF code.
  • Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety first approach at all times.
