About The Position

The CIP Operator provides the foundation for safe food quality products by completing proper cleaning and sanitation tasks. The CIP Operator is required to follow regulatory standards to ensure a clean and safe work area, and to keep all production equipment contamination-free.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of sanitation chemicals and usages, Chemical Hazard Training Certificate
  • Knowledge in food processing and chemical processing, GMP’s, clean design, etc.
  • Familiarity with food safety programs like SQF, Kosher, etc.
  • Ability to work alternate shifts and weekends as needed
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving skills
  • Strong problem-solver, using structured approaches as well as creativity
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
  • High energy, positive attitude, hands on with the ability to keep multiple projects on track
  • Ability to walk/stand up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of operators and leaders
  • Ability to monitor and operate HMI panels
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, climb, push, and pull
  • Able to lift 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced wet environment

Responsibilities

  • Complete “Clean in Place” (CIP) on all beverage processing equipment utilizing standard operating procedures
  • Verify daily sanitation duties by performing post-op inspection
  • Performs preventive chemical inspections and service
  • Maintain a clean and contamination-free environment in processing areas
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of chemical storage areas
  • Order, maintain inventory, properly store, and safely dispense sanitation chemicals
  • Maintain current documentation for cleaning procedures with additions and revisions as directed
  • Maintenance of sanitation equipment
  • Assures CIP carts are maintained and functional
  • Reviews and verifies inputs on daily observation sheets
  • Stays current with new practices
  • Assists with the environmental monitoring programs
  • Operate forklift as necessary
  • Able to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
  • Know, understand, and comply with the company’s food safety, safety and health goals and its objectives
  • Provide management with written reports of unsafe conditions or unsafe acts as needed
