About The Position

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of production machinery, process equipment, warehouse equipment and buildings in adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. This company will work with various dried food products including soy, wheat, fruit and nut products. Major activities performed: -Performs cleaning activities including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping floors, sanitizing of machinery, leaning of conveyors, surface areas and other areas deemed appropriate -Effectively disassembles and reassembles productions equipment as necessary -Uses hot waster and cleaning agents which include, but not limited to, corrosive agents, foaming products and other agents to safely clean machinery and rooms. -Must follow all proper usage guidelines for cleaning agents -Keeps up with Master sanitation and cleaning schedule weekly, monthly, yearly, etc. -Oversee proper handling and storage of cleaning agents and disinfecting equipment and maintain inventory -Maintain accurate records of sanitation duties performed. Follow up with manager to inform of any possible unsanitary practices in the plant -Must be team-oriented -Must show compliance to all food safety, food defense and GMP policies established by the company and be able to report any non-conformity of issues or violations found Resumes must be submitted prior to interview for this position
