About The Position

The Sanitation Specialist will be in charge of trash disposal for the facility, general cleaning of office and production areas, and facility sanitation.

Must lift 50+lbs repeatedly
Repetitive motion
Able to work in a cold environment

Responsibilities

Will be under the direct supervision of Sanitation Manager and responsible for assisting in the cleaning process.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize equipment/room to prepare for the next shift using cleaners, hoses, mops, squeegees, etc.
Clean and sanitize Processing Room, Retail, and/or Packaging Room including meat room, cooler, cut room, main hallway, docks, equipment, and utensils.
Change out and set up machines as necessary.
Clean entire facility floors are insure that they are free of debris and meat
Load smokehouses with raw product and start smokehouse on the correct program to match batch details
Conduct post-op check sheets to insure shift duties were performed correctly.
Properly clean all equipment and machines to insure timely start for the next shift.
Assist with documentation of lock down procedures for the entire facility.
Insure that no unauthorized personnel enter the building
Unload trailers, verify Bill of Lading (BOL)/packing slips, complete documents for incoming trailer sheets, temp meat, and scan products into Vista Trac.
Properly store pallets from incoming shipments into their respective cooler/rack.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
Document information accurately on Master Cleaning Sheet.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary for the job
Report any food safety, food defense, internal or external damage to building, and equipment failure to supervisors.
Assume responsibilities of other Sanitation Assistant(s) and/or Sanitation Manager in their absence.
Assist in other departments as needed.
Other duties may be assigned based on company needs.
