About The Position

Under direction and procedural control, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and conducting maintenance and minor mechanical repairs to various systems and equipment including Heating-Ventilation-Air Conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing. The Maintenance Technician performs janitorial and grounds maintenance of various Public Works buildings and supervises Sanitation Administration custodial personnel. Employee solicits and monitors performance of outsourced service contract workers when needed. The employee has a high degree of contact with city personnel and the public which requires tack and diplomacy. Employee must abide by and follow all safety rules and regulations.
