As the Sanitary Sewer System Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of sanitary sewer infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient wastewater management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONBS: Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of sanitary sewer lines, manholes, lift stations, and associated wastewater infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing and sewer system issues, including blockages, leaks, and pipe failures. Conduct preventive maintenance on sewer systems to reduce emergency repairs and minimize service disruptions. Operate and maintain equipment and tools used in sewer system operations, such as jetting trucks, vacuum trucks, video inspection cameras, and pipe locators. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding wastewater treatment and sewer system safety. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs performed on sewer infrastructure. Respond to emergency sewer service calls, including after-hours incidents. Collaborate with team members, contractors, and the public to coordinate sewer system work efficiently and safely. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including confined space entry and hazardous materials handling.
