About The Position

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will provide timely, non-judgemental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. This will include a forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings. The SANE is expected to follow protocols established by the Medical Director and/or SANE coordinator of the SANE program for which the SANE is employed. The SANE is to perform and/or assist with pediatric medical screens for sexual abuse cases referred by the Child Advocacy Centers. We're glad you're here. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • One or more years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Florida RN license
  • Current CPR
  • Meets all requirements for SANE certification within 6 months of hire
  • Has demonstrated proficiency for the requirements for NC I and is deemed competent to perform all job responsibilities

Responsibilities
