About The Position

Flour Bakery + Cafe is looking for exceptional sandwich makers for our growing team! This is a great position for experienced line cooks or prep cooks. As a sandwich maker, you'll prepare sandwiches with speed and accuracy, while engaging with guests and delivering excellent hospitality. Day-to-day Performance Expectations: Follow assembly instructions and recipes accurately and thoroughly to ensure each sandwich is consistently delicious. Must be able to deliver consistently great hospitality: Engage our guests at Flour by greeting them with a smile, treating them with kindness, and finding the correct answers to any questions they may have. Applicants must be enthusiastic, hardworking, possess strong guest service skills, be eager to learn, and be able to work in a professional kitchen environment as part of a team. Skills for Qualification: Must have the availability to work at least 3-4 shifts, 20 hours a week, including at least 1 weekend day. At least 1 year of previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment Must be able to maintain proper grooming and uniform standards Applicants must be enthusiastic, hard-working, possess strong guest service skills, and be comfortable working in a professional open-kitchen environment. We ask for a minimum commitment of 1 year for FOH Sandwich Maker position. Unfortunately, we do not offer seasonal or temporary work. Physical Requirements: Be prepared to be on your feet all day. This is a physically active role. Ability to stand for long periods, walk, sit, push, pull, reach, and lift < 50 lbs. without assistance Ability to operate equipment such as ovens, grills, knives and other kitchen equipment and utensils Work Environment: Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises, machinery, and at times, tight spaces. Must be able to work around various aromas and fluctuating temperatures (at times, you could be in a freezer and/or hot kitchens, etc.) We do our best not to cross-contaminate anything containing gluten. However, there may be gluten in the air at times. We do our best to accommodate any staff allergy requests.
