About The Position

Hayward Holdings Inc. The Sander is responsible for smoothing and finishing surfaces of materials, typically metal or wood, to prepare them for further processing or final use. This role involves operating a variety of sanding tools and equipment to ensure the desired finish and quality of products. The Sander works closely with other production team members to ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Heavy lifting is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Operate sanding equipment (e.g., belt sanders, disc sanders) to smooth surfaces of products.
• Inspect materials for defects or imperfections before and after sanding to ensure quality standards are met.
• Adjust sanding tools and machinery to achieve the appropriate level of finish and smoothness.
• Follow specific work orders and blueprints to complete sanding tasks as per specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper safety procedures and guidelines.
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Assist in the setup and calibration of sanding machines for different projects.
• Perform quality checks throughout the sanding process to ensure high-quality output.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to meet production deadlines.
