About The Position

Key Responsibilities Surface Preparation & Sandblasting Set up and operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces for powder coating, painting, or other finishes. Select the appropriate blasting media (e.g., aluminum oxide, glass beads, steel grit) based on material type and finish requirements. Maintain a consistent blasting pattern to achieve an even surface profile without warping or over-blasting. Quality Control Inspect parts before and after blasting to ensure proper surface preparation. Identify and report any defects, inconsistencies, or damage to the supervisor. Work closely with the finishing team to ensure smooth transitions between sandblasting and coating processes. Equipment Maintenance & Housekeeping Perform routine maintenance on sandblasting equipment, including checking hoses, nozzles, and air pressure settings. Keep the blasting booth and surrounding area clean and free of excess media buildup. Properly dispose of used blasting materials according to company and environmental regulations. Safety & Compliance Follow all PPE requirements, including respirators, face shields, gloves, and protective suits. Operate equipment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Monitor ventilation and dust collection systems to maintain a safe work environment. True Up is an equal opportunity employer.
