About The Position
Position Overview: The Sandblaster / Industrial Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring the overall quality and appearance of finished products. This position requires expertise in sandblasting techniques, surface preparation, and proficiency in industrial painting methods. Key Responsibilities: Surface Preparation: Perform sandblasting operations to clean and prepare surfaces for coating applications. Select and set up appropriate blasting equipment and abrasives based on the type of material and desired finish. Coating Application: Apply various types of coatings, including primers, paints, and sealants, using spray guns and other painting equipment. Ensure even application and coverage of coatings, meeting quality and aesthetic standards. Quality Control: Inspect surfaces for defects and imperfections before and after coating applications. Make necessary adjustments to ensure the quality and integrity of the finished product.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sandblaster / Industrial Painter in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of various coating materials, application techniques, and surface preparation methods.
- Familiarity with different types of blasting equipment and painting tools.
- Ability to interpret and follow technical specifications and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to preventing defects.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and heights
