About The Position

The Sandblast Technician 1 is responsible for internal parts flow through the blast department, proper sandblast procedures, and preparation for paint. The Sandblast Technician 1 also supports continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team, maintaining a clean work environment, and offering suggestions for improvements. Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred
  • Six months to one year of sandblast experience, preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing environment with mechanical knowledge, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare machines and components for sandblast including taping, plugging holes, and sandblasting to ensure 2-3 mill finish
  • Load and move materials to the proper work area
  • Seam seal parts after blast if required
  • Clean all excess grit of parts before advancing them in the production process
  • Develop maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
  • Keep work area neat and clean
