About The Position

The Sanctions Compliance Specialist I will assist the Global Export and Sanctions Compliance team in various sanctions compliance activities. This role involves conducting reviews and analysis of sanctions system alerts, investigating customers, business partners, and transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures, and escalating unusual findings related to sanctioned individuals or criminal activities. The specialist will also gather data, record evidence, and maintain thorough documentation of analyses performed. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a compliance-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in reviews, investigation, and resolution of sanctions, money laundering, or terrorist financing issues.
  • Experience using SAP GTS screening system and Accuity's Compliance Link.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to apply sound ethical judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in OFAC/Sanctions Compliance laws and regulations.
  • Self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to meet aggressive timelines in a compliance-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in Numbers, Pages, Keynote, and MS Office applications (Excel and Word).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and knowledge of U.S. Export Administration Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Raise awareness of sanctions trends and emerging issues.
  • Support record keeping and documentation efforts.
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.
