About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting BIS Compliance and Compliance with implementingSanctions and Embargoes (S&E) requirements on behalf of BIS including but not limited to thecreation of a Localized Sanctions Procedure, detailed desktop guides for S&E processes,conducting a gap analysis of existing BIS sanctions and embargoes processes compared againstthe requirements, developing a RACI, conducting S&E capacity assessment questionnaire,assist with Training Plan and U.S. person recusal, and ensure all S&E screening tools conform to requirements and adequate oversight. The position reports to the Americas Head of Sanctions and the BIS AMLO, and includes, but is not limited to, the following functions: Creation of a Localized Sanctions Procedure and desktop guides, Creation of a RACI, SG Capacity Assessment Exercise, Training Plan, Assessment of any S&E screening tools, Partner with Compliance counterparts in their responsibilities involving. Sanctions-related Laws, Rules, Regulations and Group policies, Interacts regularly with management and department leaders

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of banking products & services
  • Familiarity with project management
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a complex organization, across multiple cultures, geographies, and disciplines.
  • Ability to balance multiple, changing priorities in a dynamic and fast moving working environment
  • 7+ years Experience of AML, sanctions, risk, or compliance experience with afinancial institution, law firm, regulatory agency, major consulting firm or law enforcement
  • Handson experience with Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Access, SharePoint(integrating with Access orDatabase), PowerPoint, Excel (Advanced)
  • Ability to work independently and embody firm values
