About The Position

Samuel Staples Elementary School has several openings for special education paraeducators. The positions are available commencing with the 2024-2025 school year, with an official start date of August 27, 2024. The paraeducators will work Monday to Friday for 6.25 hours per day when school is in session for students, totaling 181 days per school year.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with young children in a school setting is a plus
• Must be flexible, creative, have a good sense of humor, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Must be highly motivated and self-directed

Responsibilities

• Assist student in one-to-one instruction and/or provide support for special education students in the general education classroom
• Implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education teacher
• Collect data regarding student performance in the resource room and/or general education classroom
