Role and Responsibilities Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Intern Program. This exciting opportunity offers a paid, 10-week experience for selected senior or recently graduated students. The program will run from June 1 to August 7. Eligible students will be seniors or recent graduates, possess U.S. work authorization, and be able to work full-time on a 5-day-per-week on-site schedule. Additionally, participation in this program requires that you be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. The application window is open until March 15, 2026; however, it may close earlier if all available roles are filled. Applications submitted after the application window or once a role is closed/projects are full will not be considered. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Samsung Care AI Data Analytics Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will contribute to the development and optimization of AI-driven data analytics solutions for Samsung Care services. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to analyze data, derive actionable insights, and support the enhancement of customer experiences. As an AI Engineering/Data Scientist Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects, observing professional work environments, and conducting research to contribute to the team's success. Applying machine learning techniques to solve complex data problems Utilizing natural language processing for data-driven insights Engaging in predictive modeling to forecast trends and outcomes Supporting data engineering projects with a focus on data quality and integrity

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Mathematics/Statistics: Strong grasp of linear algebra, calculus, and statistics.
  • Programming: Python is essential (with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn); SQL for data handling is also key; R, Java, C++ can be beneficial.
  • Machine Learning: Understanding core ML concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, regression, clustering) and algorithms.
  • AI Frameworks: Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar deep learning/AI libraries.
  • Data Handling: Skills in data wrangling, cleaning, and using tools like Spark/Hadoop for large datasets.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • AI Concepts: Familiarity with newer areas like LLMs, NLP, or Reinforcement Learning (RL) is a plus.
