About The Position

Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Assures compliance with health and safety and regulatory requirements and serves as a resource for employees. Adherence to QA and QC protocols. Responsible for approval of time worked, approving paid time off and other administrative duties. Develops and monitors group work schedules based on current and projected workloads and adjusts staffing resources as needed. Ensures that the laboratory group members maintain effective communication in order to eliminate waste and scheduling delays. Continually developing a team that works well together. Adherence to corporate policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsible for departmental SOPs. Sets targets, standards for and monitors productivity and timeliness within the group. Responsible for maintaining of proper inventory of supplies to effectively manage costs while meeting customer objectives and needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; BS or BA degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of laboratory experience or similar experience.
  • Must be able to work standing for most of the day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
