Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
- Experience in a laboratory environment
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Attentiveness to detail and ability to manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and interruptions
- Excellent prioritization skills
- Effective time management, decision making, planning, and organization skills
- A friendly demeanor
- Committed to working in a team environment, demonstrating a positive approach
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Responsibilities
- Routine sample preparation
- Gravimetric analysis
- Data entry
- Light housekeeping (i.e., changing light bulbs, putting away stock, laundering lab coats)
- Inventory
- Off-site storage (i.e., filing, organization, destruction of files)
- Monitoring outbuilding tanks, hoods, fire extinguishers, exit/emergency lighting
- Sample disposal
- Courier service and automobile maintenance
- Glassware processing
- Basic media preparation
