About The Position

The Sample Control Technician I at Eurofins Test America is responsible for managing the receipt, tracking, and shipment of samples in the laboratory. This role ensures accurate documentation, prioritization of testing procedures, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The technician also assists in customer service and may perform courier duties to support laboratory operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Certificate may be required within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid state issued driver's license to operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle background check for company driver certification.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card may be required within 90 days of hire.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Logs and tracks the receipt and shipment of all samples into and out of the laboratory.
  • Verifies receipt of samples and ensures accurate documentation of sample log in, labeling, and routing.
  • Determines the priority level and appropriate testing procedures of samples according to Chain of Custody.
  • Labels and stores samples in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Prepares bottle kits for delivery to clients and ensures compliance with EPA and DOT requirements.
  • Disposes of spent samples and waste in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitors freezer and cooler temperatures daily to confirm compliance with SOP guidelines.
  • Cleans and organizes the department to promote a safe work environment.
  • Stocks and supplies inventory daily and assists with inventory management.
  • Performs courier duties as necessary to support lab and client needs.
  • Maintains company vehicles for sample pickups and deliveries as needed.
  • Conducts all client interactions in a professional manner.
