Drybar Charleston is hiring a Shop Manager / Lead Stylist who is equally passionate about guest experience, team leadership, and business performance. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to lead a shop like it’s their own, deliver ah-MAY-zing blowouts, and build a team that wins. What You’ll Love About This Role You’ll still do hair (this is not a desk job) You’ll run the shop day-to-day with real authority and ownership You’ll coach, inspire, and elevate a team You’ll lead KPI results and see the score change because of your leadership You’ll grow inside a multi-unit, expanding franchise group The Mission As Shop Manager, you are responsible for: Running smooth daily operations, and Driving the business forward through strong leadership, coaching, and KPI execution. You will lead the shop to achieve monthly goals in: Client count Revenue Add-on % Membership growth Retail sales Labor efficiency / productivity

Requirements

  • Active cosmetology license (required)
  • 2+ years salon leadership experience preferred (assistant manager, lead stylist, educator, etc.)
  • Strong communication + coaching skills
  • Comfortable with goals/KPIs and not intimidated by numbers
  • A leader who is consistent and emotionally steady
  • Passionate about service excellence + driving results

Responsibilities

  • Build a culture of accountability, hospitality, teamwork, and pride
  • Coach stylists and FOH team through consistent feedback and follow-up
  • Lead shop huddles, daily coaching moments, and weekly leadership rhythms
  • Set expectations clearly and handle performance issues professionally
  • Lead by example — positive, calm, solution-oriented
  • Own the shop’s KPIs (client count, revenue, add-ons, memberships, retail, labor)
  • Build weekly execution plans to hit goals (not “talk about it,” but execute)
  • Track performance daily and take corrective action fast
  • Create a coaching plan for underperforming KPI areas
  • Perform Drybar services with excellence
  • Support peak flow by taking clients during busy shifts
  • Coach behind the chair: speed, quality, add-ons, rebooking scripts
  • Ensure consistent service execution and Drybar standards
  • Schedule to demand and protect payroll
  • Manage supply ordering, shop standards, cleaning + presentation
  • Maintain brand standards, guest satisfaction, and safety/compliance
  • Handle guest recovery when needed with warmth + confidence
