Requirements

MUST HAVE: ACTIVE CA COSMO LICENSE (ASSIST HAIRSTYLISTS WHERE NEEDED) AND AVAILABILITY TO WORK WEEKEND CLOSE SHIFTS MAINLY SATURDAYS, AND POSSIBLY FRIDAYS/SUNDAYS AS NEEDED.
An up-to-date cosmetology license for the State of CA.
Salon industry experience (or working knowledge).
The ability to work weekends (Saturday at a minimum with Sunday and Friday availability preferred) and be flexible with your schedule (must be able to work peak hours as determined by the bar, typically Thursday through Sunday), and certain holidays.
A passion for the beauty/cosmetology industry and making people feel beautiful.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of professional experience applying makeup (strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

Create and maintain an exceptional customer service experience for our Guests.
Work with scheduling/booking software to manage appointments and check Guests in/out smoothly and quickly
Work alongside Management, Leads, and fellow "GECs"; liaison to all stylists
Role model and brand ambassador for Blo in each interaction with co-workers and guests. You will live the “Blo Hearts You” motto, making sure that everyone feels the love!
Be professional and friendly and know how to diffuse any tense situations.
Grow the business with recommendations and suggestions that lead to product sales, service upgrades and membership sign-ups.
Participate in regular training and skill-development opportunities.
Work collaboratively and support your teammates.
Participate in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional workspace
Accountable for ensuring cleanliness in all aspects and areas of our workplace; delegating salon chores/tasks to staff members.
Eventually master Blo's "Signature Looks"; you will also be a "hairstylist-in-training" so you can take Guests on the floor if ever needed.
Perform makeup applications on guests from Blo’s Signature Makeup Menu, in addition to custom makeup applications, including Bridal (strongly preferred).
