About The Position

East Coast Gear Supply is one of the largest Light duty axle suppliers on the East Coast. We are extremely passionate about quality and customer service. We manufacture new differentials in our production facility, service and repair differentials in our shop, and we distribute parts out of our 100k sq. foot facility. We have over 5,000 SKU’s in stock and repair or manufacture roughly 4,000 differentials per year. We are a rapidly growing company with a need for a new addition to our sales team to help drive our company forward. Summary: Our company is rapidly growing and we are looking to increase the numbers of salespeople to facilitate this growth. Our salespeople are part of a high performing team with a wealth of knowledge from multiple backgrounds. We pride ourselves on being the most knowledgeable in the industry and use that to drive sales in current and new growth markets. Sales experience with a clear understanding of the industry is desired.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated focus on customer service and team building.
  • Ability to influence and develop relationships with customers.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated; possess outstanding business acumen and self-discipline.
  • Passionate sales person with strong knowledge base of the industry.
  • Must be enthusiastic and professional.
  • Practical problem solver, analytical and timely.
  • Proficient communicator with outstanding time-management skills, strong sense of urgency and natural ability to prioritize.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in prior sales related position.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years sales/differential mechanic experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and close new customers or channels through a consultative selling approach, including qualifying, listening, identifying needs, overcoming objections, asking for the sale and follow-up.
  • Build a “book of business” by driving growth and adding value within each account.
  • Serve as an expert in recommending product or alternatives.
  • Present price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Setup customer profiles, implement and follow through on action plans.
  • Accurately process customer sales transaction such as quotes, sales orders and returns.
  • Stay current with promotions and new product launches.
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items and expected delivery dates.
