About The Position

Inside the Role SelecTrucks of America is looking for a Salesperson to create new and maintain existing customers. The Sales Representative will be responsible for incoming inquiries and walk in customers at the SelecTruck of Louisville location. Responsible for the demonstration and sale of previously owned Freightliner and other brand commercial trucks and extended warranties to customers and ensuring their satisfaction. Responsible for maintaining inventory online and marketing this inventory to prospective customers. The position requires prospecting by phone, making appointments and handling incoming phone and internet inquiries and customer visits to the facility. Sales representatives are required to keep in contact with customers throughout the sales process and follow up with them after the sale. A database of prospects as well as customers is to be maintained. This position is geared towards those who enjoy a fast-paced work environment with a base salary and great commission structure.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Excellent Customer Experience Management skills
  • Customer mining experience
  • Use of MS Office suite
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Organized and Self-Motivated
  • An attached resume is required

Nice To Haves

  • BS/BA degree is preferred
  • Previous sales experience is preferred
  • Transportation experience preferred
  • Previous advertising or marketing experience
  • Ability to negotiate in a multicultural business environment

Responsibilities

  • With the support of management work to establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for SelecTrucks Center’s products/programs
  • Make telephone calls and contacts existing and prospective customers
  • Works with management to resolve customer problems and complaints
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and utilizing the company customer relationship management tool
  • Achieves sales goals through sales skills, sales process and time management
