As a Salesperson, you will play a crucial role in selling vehicles while meeting dealership standards for gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction. This position encompasses four key areas: personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and addressing each customer's vehicle needs through effective communication and active listening. You will demonstrate vehicles, conduct test drives, and ensure a smooth delivery process that educates customers about their new vehicle's features, warranty, and necessary paperwork. Establishing personal sales goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and devising strategies to achieve those goals will be essential. You will also maintain a prospect development system and an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business. Additionally, you will collaborate with the service department to ensure vehicles are reconditioned as expected and on schedule. Staying informed about incoming inventory, features, and accessories will help you better serve customers. You will attend sales meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge of the automotive industry. Understanding the terminology of the automobile business, as well as federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales, is crucial for success in this position.
