Kentro is seeking a seasoned Salesforce Technical Program Manager to lead enterprise Salesforce Operations & Maintenance (O&M) efforts supporting the International Trade Administration (ITA) within the U.S. Department of Commerce. This role blends technical platform expertise with program leadership, agile oversight, and operational governance. The Technical Program Manager will oversee a Salesforce O&M and development team responsible for sustaining, enhancing, and modernizing mission-critical systems. This leader will ensure platform stability, release discipline, architectural integrity, and alignment with evolving business priorities. As Kentro continues to grow within the Department of Commerce, this role may expand to provide agile and program oversight across additional Salesforce scrum teams supporting other DOC components, such as NTIA and/or other Federal agencies. This growth-oriented leader will serve as a unifying force across delivery teams, ensuring consistency in standards, DevOps maturity, and execution excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience leading Salesforce delivery teams in federal or enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing Salesforce Operations & Maintenance programs
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, DevOps, and release management practices
  • Experience managing Agile Scrum teams in a program-level leadership capacity
  • Experience providing executive stakeholder communication and governance reporting
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams including developers, administrators, testers, and business analysts
  • Experience operating in compliance-driven federal environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Scrum Master Certification (e.g., A-CSM, CSP-SM, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master) AND / OR
  • Salesforce Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect
  • Salesforce Application Architect
  • Salesforce System Architect
  • Must hold an active Public Trust clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain one prior to starting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program-level oversight of a Salesforce Operations & Maintenance and enhancement team supporting ITA mission systems
  • Lead sprint governance, backlog prioritization alignment, and release planning in partnership with product owners and stakeholders
  • Ensure platform stability, performance optimization, and proactive risk mitigation across environments
  • Oversee DevOps maturity including CI/CD practices, deployment governance, and release discipline
  • Serve as technical escalation authority for complex platform issues and architectural decisions
  • Establish and enforce development standards, reusable patterns, and security guardrails
  • Provide executive-level reporting on program health, roadmap execution, risks, and resource alignment
  • Guide agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to Scrum best practices across teams
  • Coordinate integration strategy across Salesforce, middleware, and external federal systems
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, incident management, and enhancement workflows
  • Support potential expansion into additional DOC Salesforce programs as the portfolio grows
  • Mentor technical leads and scrum masters to ensure delivery consistency and performance accountability
