The Staff Salesforce Administrator is a senior‑level role responsible for the technical solutioning, architecture, and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions. This individual serves as a technical advisor, helping shape and maintain the Salesforce roadmap, architectural design artifacts, and development best practices. The role provides architectural guidance across configuration, automation, Apex, and integrations, establishes technical standards, and leads solution design for strategic Salesforce initiatives. This position ensures the platform evolves in alignment with Salesforce roadmap changes, security requirements, and emerging technologies while delivering scalable, high‑quality solutions that support business objectives.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce administrator, with a focus on Sales /Service / Experience Clouds and/or CPQ.
  • Experience designing and building complex Flows.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, org-wide sharing, and security models.
  • Experience in successful integrations with external systems.
  • Excellent track record of accomplishing and delivering successful systems implementations with high stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Salesforce Application or System Architect Certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce processes, capabilities, best practices, and limitations, and the ability to communicate these to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate recommendations for solutions or improvements and review solutions that can be accomplished through recent technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
  • Proficient in the use of Salesforce tools, e.g. JetStream, Data Loader, Workbench, etc., to support data analysis and quality initiatives.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, hardworking, and an effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Provide technical direction and leadership to the team, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Architecture:
  • Provide strategic technical insight and serve as a trusted advisor on Salesforce solutions, including declarative, custom, and integration‑based approaches.
  • Create and maintain project, application, and architectural design documentation, along with Salesforce development and design standards.
  • Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities for platform optimization, integrations, and new feature adoption that deliver measurable business value.
  • Lead technical solution design and architecture for strategic Salesforce initiatives, from discovery through implementation, partnering with admin and development resources.
  • Guide and oversee the technical implementation of solutions, including coordinating custom development efforts as needed to ensure alignment with architectural standards.
  • Provide architectural guidance on Salesforce integrations, including APIs, middleware, event‑driven patterns, and data synchronization strategies.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact and escalation path for the Salesforce admin and developer team.
  • Provide daily mentorship, technical guidance, and constructive feedback through design sessions and code reviews, ensuring all designs adhere to best practices, respect platform limits and minimize technical debt.
  • Coordinate/Lead technical workshops and training sessions to upskill the team on new technologies and best practices.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance:
  • Ensure timely completion of system maintenance tasks, including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Security Health Check, and Optimizer.
  • Identify unused or underutilized Salesforce features.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and knowledge on new Salesforce features.
  • Provide architectural oversight for sandbox strategy, CI/CD pipelines, and release management processes.
  • Create and maintain lite technical documentation on automation and supported business processes.
