About The Position

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active VA Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain this clearance The Salesforce Technical Architect must design, develop, and articulate solutions based on a customer's strategic business and technical requirements. The candidate will work with a variety of people (program managers, technical peers, and business partners) to ensure that maximum value is delivered to clients. The candidate must demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment. The architect will provide technical leadership across sustainment and enhancement initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, data models, integration patterns, and security requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust Clearance.
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect..
  • Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of Salesforce architecture or development experience, OR
  • Associate’s degree + 10 years of Salesforce architecture or development experience, OR
  • High School Diploma/GED + 12 years of Salesforce architecture or development experience.
  • Salesforce platform architecture and enterprise solution design
  • Apex development, Lightning Web Components, and platform automation
  • Salesforce data modeling and enterprise data architecture
  • Salesforce integrations using REST, SOAP, and middleware platforms
  • API design and integration frameworks
  • DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments
  • Performance optimization and scalable Salesforce platform design
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical architecture for business stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, administrators, and program leadership
  • Ability to guide architecture decisions while maintaining compliance with enterprise standards

  • Experience supporting federal government Salesforce implementations
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Shield, platform encryption, and federal security compliance frameworks
  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Informatica Cloud

Responsibilities

  • Define the overall Salesforce architecture and technical roadmap supporting the VA LGY VALERI platform.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solution designs and technical architecture diagrams, this includes detailed current state and future state diagrams.
  • Lead architectural design across Apex development, Lightning Web Components, integrations, data models, and platform automation.
  • Ability to write and enhance Architectural documentation gaps for Technical design documents including for Mulesoft, Oracle, and integration orchestration.
  • Must be proficient with designing process maps with Lucidchart (deliverables within hours or days not weeks or sprints)
  • Establish and enforce Salesforce architecture standards, coding standards, and best practices across development teams.
  • Design and oversee complex integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, middleware platforms, and API frameworks.
  • Ensure solutions align with federal security standards, FedRAMP requirements, and Salesforce security best practices.
  • Guide development teams on platform architecture decisions, performance optimization, and scalability strategies.
  • Collaborate with program leadership, business analysts, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with mission requirements.
  • Review technical designs, conduct architecture reviews, and provide governance for major Salesforce enhancements.
  • Support DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment strategy.
  • Provide architectural oversight for data management, integration patterns, and enterprise system interoperability.
  • Mentor developers and administrators while fostering strong collaboration across cross-functional technical teams.
