The Salesforce, Systems, and IT Manager at Habitat for Humanity Chicago is responsible for leading the development, management, and maintenance of the organization's Salesforce CRM and IT systems. This role aims to enhance the efficiency of IT infrastructure and ensure that relevant IT solutions are implemented according to organizational standards. The manager will guide the technological direction of the organization, oversee network security, and manage online operations, while also planning and coordinating larger projects related to hardware and software upgrades.

  • Act as the organization's point-person for CRM management and optimization, developing an in-depth knowledge of Salesforce functionality.
  • Serve as project manager for Salesforce and technology systems enhancements, developing schedules and milestones for implementation.
  • Leverage knowledge of industry best practices to uncover opportunities for business improvements through Salesforce enhancements.
  • Stay updated with the latest Salesforce releases and product enhancements through self-motivated learning and training.
  • Evaluate and install new Salesforce releases and manage user and license management.
  • Provide training and support to new and current users, developing training materials as necessary.
  • Act as a thought leader for Salesforce and IT systems, defining and supporting strategic plans.
  • Monitor performance of IT systems to determine cost and productivity levels, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop technical capacity and ownership of business processes.
  • Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports for necessary upgrades and analyze vendors for service and value.
  • Design and lead staff training, draft technology policies, and create online training materials.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 account and user access, and act as the liaison between staff and IT vendors.
  • Manage IT vendors relations and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Ensure business continuity protocols are implemented to minimize data loss during emergencies.
  • Guide the internal Security Incident Response Team and maintain incident response documentation.
  • Salesforce certified Administrator or Salesforce Advanced Administrator.
  • Extensive experience in the administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems.
  • Experience in performing Salesforce upgrades and ensuring successful integration.
  • Exceptional ability to create and maintain Salesforce databases.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities.
  • Ability to provide Salesforce training and end-user support.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration including custom objects and process automation.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills to manage complex projects.
  • Solid knowledge of IT security basics including cyber security and incident response.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and speaking.
  • Superb organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science would be advantageous.
