Role Summary Senior Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud Consultant responsible for leading life sciences digital marketing and engagement work across Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud. This role partners with client stakeholders and agencies to shape omnichannel strategy (email, SMS, web, and CRM-aligned engagement), translate strategy into delivery-ready requirements, and drive execution with delivery teams. This is a senior, client-facing individual contributor role.

Requirements

  • 1015 years of experience across digital marketing, CRM, marketing technology, or customer engagement delivery roles.
  • Required life sciences experience (pharma, biotech, or healthcare), including understanding of regulated communications and consent expectations.
  • Proven experience working with agencies (creative, media, or digital) and managing multi-party delivery models.
  • Strong experience designing and operationalizing email and omnichannel customer journeys, including audience strategy and campaign sequencing.
  • Hands-on or implementation leadership experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (you do not need 1015 years in Marketing Cloud).
  • Implementation leadership experience with Salesforce Data Cloud concepts, including Data Model Objects (DMOs), segmentation, and activation.
  • Experience gathering requirements, writing user stories, and guiding delivery teams through build, test, and launch.
  • Strong analytical skills for engagement performance: defining metrics, reading results, and turning results into backlog improvements.
  • Strong client-facing skills: workshop facilitation, clear writing, executive-ready communication, and the ability to drive decisions without formal authority.
  • Required Salesforce Certifications Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer.
  • Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (pardot).
  • Experience with CRM clouds such as Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, & Veeva.
  • Experience working with middleware teams for API-based integrations.
  • Experience building or guiding preference centers, subscription management, and consent capture patterns.
  • Experience working with offshore or distributed delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client discovery to understand brand and engagement goals, target audiences, and measurable success outcomes.
  • Consult on omnichannel strategy across email, SMS (text messaging), websites, and CRM-aligned journeys; produce customer journey maps and messaging sequencing.
  • Partner with agencies on campaign strategy and execution plans, including content readiness, audience strategy, and launch sequencing.
  • Translate business goals into delivery-ready user stories and acceptance criteria; align scope with Solution Architects and delivery leads.
  • Design engagement measurement plans (key performance indicators, attribution assumptions, and reporting requirements) and partner with analytics teams to operationalize them.
  • Guide Marketing Cloud solution design for Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, and segmentation approach.
  • Lead Data Cloud requirements and design support including data ingestion, data mapping, identity resolution, segmentation, and activation into Marketing Cloud and other destinations.
  • Work with common life sciences datasets (health care professional data, health care organization data, product, consent, interactions, and digital behavior) to support compliant targeting and personalization.
  • Coordinate integration requirements for lead generation and digital experiences (for example: web forms, preference centers, event registrations, and downstream handoffs) using application programming interfaces (APIs) or middleware.
  • Drive delivery planning with PMO-style rigor: milestones, dependencies, risks, and cross-team coordination across client, agency, and delivery teams.
  • Support go-live readiness and post-launch stabilization, including issue triage, prioritization, and continuous improvement recommendations.
