Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking an IT Developer who thrives on building high-quality features and delivering value quickly. This role is ideal for a hands-on contributor who enjoys turning clear requirements into secure, performant solutions by collaborating closely with Salesforce Engineers for guidance while owning implementation details end-to-end across our Salesforce ecosystem. You will be a core contributor within Amica's Enterprise Salesforce Program, building on Financial Services Cloud and related capabilities across Agentforce, Data Cloud, and integrations like Service Cloud Voice and Marketing Cloud Engagement. You'll translate designs and patterns from stakeholder requirements into maintainable implementations, write robust tests, and support high-quality releases that help our teams serve policyholders and front-line representatives. This position is open to mid-senior levels of experience. Entry-level candidates are not eligible.

  • Implement Lightning Web Components, Apex (classes/triggers), Flows, and configuration to meet acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements (security, performance, maintainability).
  • Ensure solutions follow established standards, patterns, and guardrails set by engineering leadership.
  • Enforce CRUD/FLS, validate inputs, use guard clauses and bulk-safe patterns, handle null/edge cases, and implement structured error handling/logging. Favor small, testable units and maintainable code that meets agreed standards.
  • Participate in peer reviews; address feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of shared libraries and utilities.
  • Build and consume REST APIs using Named Credentials/External Services; implement resilient error handling and logging.
  • Configure data models (objects/fields), validation rules, and sharing; assist with data migrations and environment setup using SFDX.
  • Work closely with Engineers to refine designs, surface trade-offs and risks early.
  • Partner with Product Owners, QA, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver incremental value.
  • Troubleshoot defects and production issues; contribute to runbooks and post-release stabilization.
  • Help maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Copado/GitHub Actions) and follow branching/promotion strategies for safe deployments.
  • May be called upon to handle other duties as required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years' experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 3-6 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and Flows; strong grasp of CRUD/FLS, bulkification, and governor limits.
  • Practical experience with REST integrations and defensive error-handling patterns.
  • Hands-on with SFDX and Git workflows; experience building and running CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Copado, Gearset, or similar) to promote changes safely through environments.
  • Clear, collaborative communication and the ability to break work into incremental, testable slices.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I required; Platform Developer II and Administrator are pluses.
  • Exposure to Financial Services Cloud, Data Cloud, Service Cloud Voice (e.g., Genesys), and Marketing Cloud Engagement is a plus.
