About The Position

At Pax8, we are on a mission to make cloud technology more accessible for businesses everywhere. Salesforce is at the center of how we scale that mission, and we are looking for a Salesforce Developer (not an administrator) to help us design, build, and optimize the platform. You will serve as the team’s primary technical expert, filling a long‑standing gap while partnering with strong Salesforce administrators. This developer will help guide design standards, support major initiatives, and bring development leadership back into the team. 🚀 Why This Role Matters You will be the technical linchpin for Salesforce development within a team that needs deep engineering expertise. You’ll support major upcoming initiatives, including re‑architecting Pax8’s marketplace integration. You’ll partner closely with administrators, product teams, engineering, and business stakeholders across the organization. Your work will bring structure, mentorship, and thought leadership to an environment ready to grow.

Requirements

  • At least five years of Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong hands‑on skills with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Experience with third‑party integrations such as Marketo, Onetrust, Gearset, or HighSpot.
  • Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to determine when to escalate challenges and when to independently deliver solutions.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross‑functional settings.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Architect Salesforce Solutions
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand functional needs.
  • Translate requirements into scalable, well‑designed Salesforce solutions.
  • Provide architectural and technical guidance across development initiatives.
  • Develop, Build, and Optimize
  • Build custom applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Automate processes with Flows, Apex triggers, and classes.
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP web services and middleware tools.
  • Maintain and optimize platform functionality, integrations, and internal tools including Agentforce and Data Cloud.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and improve performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration and deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate, Lead, and Document
  • Mentor Salesforce administrators and junior developers.
  • Partner with project managers, internal stakeholders, and engineering teams throughout development cycles.
  • Create documentation, training content, and internal enablement resources.
