The Senior Salesforce Developer at Penn State University plays a critical lead role within the Enterprise Constituent Relationship Management (ECRM) program team, responsible for implementing Salesforce solutions that align with the institution's business needs and strategic goals.   • Customize Salesforce features (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Education Cloud) to meet business needs and ensure data integrity across all processes.
  • Troubleshoot data integration issues and ensure timely resolution, maintaining high-quality integration standards.
  • Document and maintain technical processes, workflows, test plans, and code to ensure clear understanding and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and manage project timelines.
  • Oversee Salesforce releases, updates, and new features while ensuring compliance with Penn State standards for usability, accessibility, and security.
  • Serve as the technical lead for Salesforce development, providing guidance and strategic options for both clients and internal teams.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Salesforce development and data integration, providing support and training to staff as needed.
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce products, architecture, data model, and security.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using Informatica Cloud and third-party systems (REST/SOAP APIs).
  • Proficient in Salesforce development (Apex, SOQL, LWC) and environment/release management.
  • Strong understanding of code versioning, deployment methodologies, and Agile development.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimally requires a bachelor's degree and 6+ years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Salesforce Developer certification preferred but not required.
  • Higher education experience preferred.
