About The Position
The Planning & Development Department guides the physical development of the city by preserving our historic sites, planning what can be built where, and ensuring safe construction of buildings and infrastructure. A host of advisory and governing bodies of residents as well as elected officials provide oversight as the city grows and needs arise. The process is governed through development and enforcement of city codes and ordinances. The Salesforce Developer (IT Analyst/Programmer III) has a key role within the Planning and Development Department (PDD) with the responsibility of working with the technical and functional teams in support of PDD business applications. This position exists to develop and maintain complex applications, analyze systems and specifications, recommend program structure and logic, conduct technical and financial studies for the design and justification of information technology systems, coordinate and perform the most advanced systems and analysis/assignments, and act as a project or team leader in the enhancement and/or maintenance of computer applications. The Salesforce Developer is involved with one or more applications utilizing different database concepts and high-level computer programming languages including, Salesforce, MS SQL Server, .NET, and Web Development. This position also provides production support by analyzing, programming, testing, and deploying solutions to complex production problems as well as correcting data in critical situations.
