About The Position

The Salesforce CRM Developer position at Ivy Tech Community College involves providing developer support for the College's Salesforce platform under the direction of the Executive Director. This role encompasses working with various technologies that integrate with Salesforce, ensuring alignment with the College's vision, mission, and priorities. The developer will support a multi-Salesforce CRM environment, utilizing Education Data Architecture (EDA) and Sales Cloud technologies. Key responsibilities include the development of functionality such as business enhancements, user account maintenance, activity and events management, workflows, data structures, integrations, and other routine tasks. The developer will also be responsible for the technical evaluation and completion of new development requests, as well as potential roadmap technical evaluations. This includes supporting the definition of complex application development, administration, and programming standards, collaborating with the technical team to validate business requirements while considering security, scalability, and limits. Additionally, the Salesforce CRM Developer will assist in overseeing release management on the Salesforce platform, ensuring the team effectively utilizes DevOps deployment tools and best practices. The role also involves maintaining Salesforce CRM data feeds and other integrations, as well as managing all technological resources associated with end users. The developer will be expected to develop Apex classes and triggers, Visualforce pages, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components based on specific business requirements. Adhering to Salesforce best practices, maintaining code documentation, and writing/maintaining test classes for all custom development are also critical aspects of this position. This position is hybrid, requiring some time to be worked from the physical campus in Indianapolis, IN. Candidates must reside in and work from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, or Ohio to be considered for this role. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other applicable regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
