About The Position
The Salesforce CPQ & Billing Architect position at S&P Global is a senior-level role focused on the design, architecture, and development of one of the largest Salesforce Revenue Cloud implementations globally. The successful candidate will serve as a technical lead, responsible for new feature design, code review, quality assurance, and system integrations. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce CPQ (formerly Steelbrick) and Billing, including expertise in Tax and Subledger integrations, Amendments and Cancellations, Product Rules, Pricing Rules, CPQ Pricing Scripts, Advanced Approvals, Vertex Integration, Credit Notes, Debit Notes, and Payments. The candidate will also need strong integration knowledge, particularly with REST and SOAP protocols, and will be expected to work with various systems such as Batch Schedulers and Queueable jobs. In addition to technical skills, the role demands strong interpersonal abilities to coach team members, review code, and interact with users of varying technical backgrounds. The candidate should be familiar with Lightning components and have a solid understanding of Agile (SCRUM) and Waterfall methodologies, as well as the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The position also involves producing system design documents, leading technical walkthroughs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality code. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, capable of simplifying complex topics for business stakeholders, and will have a proactive approach to improving the architecture and processes within the team.
