About The Position

The Work Our Digital Modernization Division is an information technology and management consulting department that offers integrated, strategic solutions to its public and private-sector clients. ICF has the expertise, agility, and commitment to design, build, and operate high-performance IT engines to support all aspects of our client’s business. We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester to support the design, implementation, and execution of automated testing solutions across enterprise applications. This role collaborates closely with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure test coverage accurately reflects functional requirements and supports continuous integration and delivery. Job Location: Fully remote, within the U.S. Periodic client meetings onsite in Washington, DC required. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses and prohibits personal VPN connections.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements
  • Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Management (preferred)
  • At least 3+ years of experience supporting Salesforce or cloud‑based enterprise applications

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience automating manual tests and supporting environment setup and deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins, Salesforce Metadata API, Python, or other automated testing tools
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining test results and reporting on test performance, defects identified, and test effectiveness
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with both engineering and business teams
  • Demonstrated expertise using Jenkins (or similar CI/CD solutions) to support continuous integration testing
  • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, Java, HTML, and Selenium, including experience with XPath, CSS locators, and JavaScript to interact with web elements
  • Deep understanding of core programming concepts including inheritance, abstraction, and polymorphism
  • Experience using GitHub or similar version control tools
  • Experience writing and executing database queries using SQL (or SOQL for Salesforce environments)
  • Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks that support scalable and reusable testing
  • Highly effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Organized, detailed oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to convert manual test cases into robust automated solutions
  • Support environment setup and automated deployment processes using CI/CD tools
  • Execute automated and manual tests and analyze results to identify defects and performance issues
  • Maintain detailed test documentation and regularly report on test effectiveness, defect trends, and overall test performance
  • Partner with engineers and business stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with functional and technical requirements
  • Support continuous integration testing using Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes
