About The Position

The Salesforce Automation Engineer will support the Salesforce CoE by designing and implementing Salesforce-based automation solutions that enable critical government programs, including case management, eligibility determination, and citizen engagement. Working under the guidance of a Solution Architect, this role translates architectural designs into secure, scalable, and high-performing Salesforce applications.

Requirements

  • Level II: 7+ years of experience on complex projects, including 2+ years in a leadership role as an Automation Engineer
  • Level II: 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Service Cloud, Data Cloud, CRM/Case Management, etc.)
  • Level II: 3+ years of experience configuring and customizing Salesforce using declarative tools and Apex/LWC

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ months of experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)
  • 1+ year of experience with Salesforce data and security models
  • 6+ months of experience configuring Salesforce Public Sector Solutions
  • 6+ months of experience with public sector case management configurations
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Salesforce automation solutions to support program and agency requirements
  • Configure and customize Salesforce using declarative tools (Flows, OmniStudio, Validation Rules)
  • Build Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) as needed to automate business and case management processes
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and stakeholders to deliver secure, efficient solutions
  • Support Salesforce-based case management and public sector workflows
