About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Sales Clerk to join our team at a very busy feed store. This position involves assisting customers, processing sales, handling cash, and supporting daily grain and feed operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable with physical work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and move 50-pound bags of feed
• Comfortable working around grain trucks, equipment, and scales
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Basic math and record-keeping skills
• Willingness to learn store systems and grain-handling procedures
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, busy environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail, agricultural, or feed store experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
• Accurately prepare sales tickets and grain tickets
• Operate a grain scale and ensure correct weights and documentation
• Probe grain trucks as part of receiving procedures
• Help dump grain trucks
• Balance the daily cash box and prepare daily deposits
• Handle cash, checks, and other payment methods accurately
• Communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and store policies
