About The Position

The Sales Training Director position will be responsible for leading the sales training team and developing and delivering sales training to an expanding financial services sales team. Developing a deep and educated talent pipeline, this leader will contribute to our culture and future growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing others, teaching and coaching and revel in the success of early career candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of Financial Services experience and sales experience preferred.
  • FINRA Series 26/24, Series 6/7, Series 63 required and other licenses may be needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience utilizing Learning Management Systems.
  • Previous experience as a sales trainer or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to deliver training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high performing sales training team to develop and implement training programs for new and existing sales professionals.
  • Develop onboarding curriculum designed to provide comprehensive information needed to effectively conduct job responsibilities across the sales team.
  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions that cover product knowledge, sales techniques, compliance requirements, policies and procedures, and other relevant topics.
  • Conducting regular training sessions and providing coaching to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Establish measurements and metrics, using data to improve programs.
  • Assess the strategic training needs of our sales force and develop appropriate training materials.
  • Collaborate with the sales management team to ensure that training programs align with the company's sales strategy and core values.
  • Conduct follow-up assessments and provide ongoing coaching to sales representatives to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Partner with third party asset managers to engage with capital markets content and training programs.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, changes, and best practices.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
