About The Position

The Training Agent is responsible for achieving sales and marketing objectives for Georgia Farm Bureau in their designated territory. This role involves delivering high-quality service to customers, maintaining positive relationships with the home office and county offices, and providing resources to help customers select appropriate insurance policies and solutions. The Training Agent will also engage in prospecting for new customers and memberships, ensuring comprehensive knowledge of various insurance products.

Requirements

• Some college preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Georgia Property/Casualty and Life/Health insurance licenses are required.
• Must have a valid Georgia driver's license.
• Computer skills and abilities are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Sell various types of insurance policies to individual customers and businesses, including farm, crop, automobile, homeowners, commercial, life, medical, and dental insurance.
• Call on customers to deliver and explain policies, analyze insurance programs, and suggest changes or additions.
• Seek out new customers and develop membership through networking within the county.
• Ensure completion of policy requirements, documentation, and support services.
• Inspect properties to assess risk characteristics and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Contribute to local advertising, promotion, and brand awareness within the community.
• Engage in continuous professional development and skill enhancement.
• Maintain positive working relationships between county office and home office.
• Achieve sales, loss ratio, and retention results in line with agency objectives.
• Deliver essential member services such as insurance reviews to county membership.
