About The Position

The Sales Trainer at PDI is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and performance of the sales teams. This role involves creating effective training materials, conducting engaging training sessions, and providing ongoing coaching and support to sales representatives to ensure they meet their performance goals.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales training or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methods.
  • Ability to lead both in-person and virtual training sessions effectively.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce, Articulate Storyline, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent time management skills, and verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for sales and a drive to help others succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular needs assessments to identify specific training requirements of the sales team.
  • Analyze sales performance data, customer feedback, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Partner with sales leadership to align training initiatives with overall sales strategy and objectives.
  • Design and develop comprehensive sales training programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Create engaging training materials, including presentations, workshops, role-playing exercises, and case studies.
  • Deliver engaging and informative sales training sessions to both new and experienced sales representatives.
  • Facilitate interactive learning experiences that promote knowledge retention and skill development.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of sales training programs.
  • Analyze sales data and feedback to identify training needs and measure the impact of training initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to sales representatives to support their personal and professional development.
  • Maintain a repository of sales training materials and resources.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, sales methodologies, and best practices.
