The Sales Trainer designs and delivers engaging sales events and learning experiences for diverse internal and external stakeholders. The role serves as a subject matter expert for Uponor products, applications and services supporting customers, distribution partners and residential and commercial markets. This position also acts as a trusted resource for sales teams providing expertise in selling skills sales processes, business acumen and value-based messaging. Ability to travel up to 50%. This role is considered a HYBRID position with onsite work at our North American headquarters in Apple Valley, MN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent professional experience as a licensed plumber.
  • 5-7 years of experience in training, sales, sales leadership and/or experience in the construction/plumbing/heating/hydronics industry with a focus on the design, development and delivery of customer events and product and skills training for a diverse and complex set of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability and passion for developing and delivering engaging content that drives results in a fast- paced environment, bringing learning to the forefront as a competitive differentiator.
  • Experience providing facilitation and coaching with sales leaders, sales teams, customers and other key stakeholders to measure adoption and proficiency of learning programs and tools.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage several priorities and workstreams simultaneously and deliver results.
  • Ability to generate new and creative ideas and challenge the status quo to drive business improvement
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment, and a consultative approach to building partnerships with a proven record of driving results on cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Nice To Haves

  • A proven track record of facilitating engaging learning experiences to small and large audiences using a wide variety of delivery methods (web, classroom, virtual, video etc.) a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required. Experience utilizing Adobe Suite, Articulate eLearning tools, WebEx, SharePoint, Learning Management Systems and/or other related or equivalent learning technologies preferred.
  • Experience with current and emerging design methodologies with demonstrated application in facilitating innovative learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement & Educational Events: Develop and execute world-class customer engagement and education events in close collaboration with our sales team, including solution overviews, hands-on experiences and presentation of the GF/Uponor value proposition to retain, grow, or convert business.
  • Sales Training & Development Programs: Develop and facilitate sales development programs for the sales team including sales onboarding, product, application and solution training, selling skills and methodologies and sales playbooks to drive profitable sales growth.
  • Sales Enablement Strategy: Partner with the sales and marketing leaders to develop sales assets and execution plans including value messaging, storytelling, customer-facing materials and account and call planning. Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to align teams on key sales strategies, support execution and measure progress towards optimal sales behaviors and performance expectations.
  • Stakeholder Partnership & Business Alignment: Build strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to stay connected to business performance, evolving needs, and emerging training opportunities for customers and sellers.
  • Performance Measurement & Impact Analysis: analyzes key performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, deficiencies and challenges and measure progress against key learning objectives and business outcomes.
  • Program Design & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the design team to maintain and enhance programs ensuring content remains current, relevant and aligned with learning objectives and business strategies Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives and additional duties as required.
