About The Position

As a Sales Trainer at Victaulic, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team. Victaulic is a leading global provider of innovative pipe joining solutions and mechanical pipe joining systems. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that our sales representatives are well-prepared to promote and sell Victaulic products, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for adult learning, excellent communication skills, a desire to grow their own knowledge of Victaulic and its products, and a proven track record of designing and facilitating engaging training sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 plus years’ experience in training, learning and development or education.
  • Thrive in a team environment and build relationships to accomplish team tasks.
  • Ability to translate technical information into understandable and compelling sales messages.
  • Exceptional listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to command & control the audience.
  • Thinks critically and creatively to solve problems and develop solutions.
  • Self-starter with strong, effective time management and organization skills.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the mission and vision of the organization through strong facilitation of key training programs.
  • Design & develop training courses based on the needs of the business and industry.
  • Deepen the understanding of Victaulic's product portfolio among sales representatives and the learning and development team.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of training by properly preparing, organizing, and delivering best-in-class learning experiences for our sales representatives and customers.
  • Aligns training activities with the overarching performance standards, goals, and strategies of the Company.
  • Provides direct support, coaching and motivation which may include telephone calls, attending sales calls and/or traveling to different regions to conduct training onsite.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts including sales, engineering, and operations to form a seamless integration of service delivery.
  • Provide technical training to equip the sales team with the knowledge required to address customer inquiries and challenges effectively.
  • Build and construct a variety of piping systems including cutting, grooving, and installation from small to large diameter.
  • Understanding of learning assessment both formative and summative, including basic measurement models.
  • Desire to self-develop, continuously learning about the variety of Victaulic product lines, historical, existing, and upcoming, as well as trends and innovations in the learning and development industry.
