Otis Elevator Company is seeking motivated candidates to embark on a career in sales through our comprehensive Sales Trainee program. This program is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the sales field. Trainees will engage in a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on field learning, allowing them to shadow experienced Sales Representatives, Account Managers, Field Supervisors, and Technicians. This immersive experience will provide insights into the business and industry, as well as in-depth product training. Upon successful completion of the 3-6+ month training program, Sales Trainees will transition into a Sales role, managing a portfolio of accounts within a designated geographic territory. The role of a Sales Trainee involves various responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the sales team. On a typical day, you will be tasked with selling Otis products and service upgrades, developing and explaining your sales territory through cold calling, and gaining an understanding of local market conditions and competitor dynamics. You will identify customer benefits and upgrade opportunities, service existing accounts while providing technical support, and enhance business connections. Achieving or exceeding planned sales objectives is a key expectation, along with maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of Otis products, monitoring account collections, conducting product quality surveys, and scheduling necessary field resources to ensure customer satisfaction. Candidates should be geographically mobile and flexible in location to align with business needs. The salary range for this role is between $55,000 and $75,000, with compensation based on various factors including education, experience, and performance.
