About The Position

The Sales Training Program is an opportunity for top candidates who are interested in a career in sales with Marvin to develop their knowledge, skills, professional acumen, and sales abilities in preparation for a career in Marvin’s sales organization. Sales Trainees will spend their first several months of employment performing job rotations, participating in shadowing opportunities, and attending Marvin product and systems training sessions. The participants will office out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, but will travel to Marvin’s other locations for learning and work opportunities, as well as to the field for sales shadowing. Successful completion of the Sales Training Program will result in transition to a sales role supporting either Marvin’s channel or architectural partners. Participants must be willing to potentially relocate to their market upon completion of the program. Highlights of your role Gain and develop an understanding on how to grow channel partner sales teams via various ideas/techniques, such as market segment training and focus, sales support, technological interface tools, sales training, and product knowledge training Build your organizational knowledge by participating in several job shadowing/rotation opportunities, which may include manufacturing/production, pre-sales support, architectural support, field service, accounting/finance, and marketing. Shadow and learn from both field & remote sales mentors in one of Marvin’s nationwide territories. Learn Marvin’s channel sales model and understand how Marvin’s sales associates drive market share by adding value to our channel and architectural partners. Support individual projects as assigned. Significant travel may be required for this position, including long stays at various Marvin locations. Overall travel may be above 75%. You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Valid driver’s license with acceptable accident and moving violation motor vehicle record Significant travel is required for this position, including long stays at various Marvin locations. Requirements
