As a Sales Trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience, learn industry-leading sales practices, and work closely with experienced Account Managers and Sales Leaders. This role is designed to develop future sales professionals through structured training, mentorship, and real customer interaction. You’ll learn our products, systems, and sales process from the ground up—while actively contributing to customer success and business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
  • A willingness to learn, travel, and step outside your comfort zone
  • Professionalism, organization, and a customer-first mindset

Responsibilities

  • Learn the Business & the Industry Develop a thorough understanding of company products, sales processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Learn how manufacturing operations, purchasing, shipping, and receiving support the sales cycle.
  • Apply business math concepts to real manufacturing and sales scenarios.
  • Gain Hands-On Sales Experience Travel with Account Managers to customer sites and gain exposure to live sales interactions.
  • Make sales calls to current and prospective customers with guidance and coaching.
  • Assist with customer service inquiries, helping to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships that support long-term success.
  • Develop Technical & Business Skills Learn and use UFPI business systems, CRM tools, and sales applications.
  • Accurately enter customer orders and assist with sales documentation.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for supervisors and management.
  • Use Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word to stay organized and communicate effectively.
  • Grow Professionally Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and develop time‑management skills.
  • Plan and participate in meetings, ensuring materials and participants are prepared.
  • Travel to other facilities as part of best-practice training and professional development.
