About The Position

Sales Trainee Position will start in product training and inside sales for a time before calling on plumbing and heating contractors. Prior product experience in plumbing and heating is very beneficial but not a requirement. Looking for a highly self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and selling skills. The training program will last approximately 6-9 months and be a salaried position. After the completion of the training program, the candidate would then have added to their pay a commission-based program, which directly rewards you for success once you assume the ultimate job of Outside Sales Territory Manager. Robertson’s Outside Salesmen inform and educate potential customers on our products and services and support our customers to achieve their business goals. You’ll be selling for the industry leader, and you’ll be provided with the training, tools and resources needed to win new business. As a Territory Manager/Outside Salesman you’ll be responsible for prospecting, engaging, and closing new accounts in partnership with our industry experts. You’ll be in daily contact with customers working to build relationships and meet their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for completing hands on training
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships
  • Prospect new business through door to door sales and cold calling
  • Identify market trends and provide updates to leadership
  • Prepare and provide customer quotes in a timely manner
  • Manage accounts and attend to customer inquiries, requests and concerns quickly
  • Negotiate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing for the customer
